Therapy for Adults in London & Online

Gentle conversation for meaningful change

Your ‘logos’ to therapy

Logos = Noun, it means reason, word, thought, discourse, conversation, understanding and meaning.

Everyone has their own reason for starting their therapy journey: perhaps feeling stuck and wishing for change but unsure how to begin, or simply wanting to understand themselves more deeply. The word ‘logos’ means reason, conversation, understanding and meaning in Greek, and that is exactly what I offer: a space where, through a gentle and honest conversation, you can gain a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Whatever brings you here, my intention is to walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, needs, and ways suitable for you to live a more satisfying life.

What Brings People To Counselling

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons, and often it's a combination of things rather than one clear issue. You might be feeling anxious, low or stressed about work. Perhaps relationships feel difficult, or you're questioning who you are and where you belong. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, bereavement or past trauma that still affects them today.

How I Can Support You

I'm Maria, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults and young professionals across London and online. Whether you're navigating stress, relationships, identity, neurodiversity, trauma or simply feeling stuck, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space to explore what matters to you.

My person-centred approach means we work at your pace, as well as drawing on psychodynamic techniques when helpful. My main aim is to offer a safe place for you to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings and support you to come to a deeper understanding and appreciation of your authentic self, giving space for all aspects of yourself to be heard.

I will listen without judgement, and I will accompany you on your journey with respect for your own pace and direction. If desired, I will offer you tools and strategies to help you manage challenging situations, difficult states of mind, or other aspects of life you may be struggling with. Issues I Can Help With

People seek counselling for many reasons, and you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. I work with a range of challenges, including:

Stress, anxiety and depression

Work-related difficulties and burnout

Relationship issues

Grief and loss

Life transitions, crises and redundancy

Self-esteem, shame and self-worth

Identity and belonging

Trauma and past experiences

Self-harm and difficult emotions

Personal development and self-understanding

I'm also fluent in Greek and English, and welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I recognise that our cultural and personal backgrounds play an important role in shaping our identities, and I welcome exploring these influences within the therapeutic space.

Supporting Neurodivergent Clients

I have particular experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with dyslexia, ADHD or autism. As neurodivergent myself, I understand the unique challenges of feeling different, misunderstood or struggling with shame around how your brain works. Whether you've been recently diagnosed, identify or have known for years, therapy can help you embrace your neurodiversity and work with it rather than against it.

Alongside this, I am deeply committed to the ethos of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. I offer the same level of care, respect, and professionalism to all, regardless of age, gender identity, culture, disability, sexual orientation, or religious and political beliefs. I believe that each person’s individuality and lived experience enrich the therapeutic process, and I strive to create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and respected.
