About Me

Person-Centred Counsellor & Psychotherapist

I've always been the person people turn to when life feels hard. That natural connection with others led me to train as a counsellor, but it was also deeply personal. Working through my own challenges gave me insight into the positive impact of therapy. Being diagnosed as neurodivergent as an adult also helped me on my own path to understand myself better. It also deepened my empathy for anyone who's ever felt different or misunderstood.

How I Work

My way of working is shaped by my training, values, and lived experience. I aim to offer a thoughtful, grounded, and compassionate space, working at your pace and with respect for what feels right for you.

My Journey into Counselling and Psychotherapy

Through my training and practice, I've supported people navigating depression, academic challenges, anxiety, social anxiety, work stress, grief, relationship struggles, divorce, life crises, self-harm, adverse childhood experiences and trauma. Each person's story has taught me something valuable about resilience and the human need to be heard.

My Values and Approach as a Therapist

Outside of my work, I find joy in reading, travelling, and spending time in nature. I also have a deep curiosity about philosophy, culture, and spirituality, and I value how these perspectives can deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

These interests remind me that healing is not only about solving problems, but also about discovering meaning, connection, and balance in our lives.

Caring for Myself to Care for My Clients

I believe that to truly be present and offer the best support to my clients, I need to care for myself too. This means taking time for rest and reflection, allowing space between sessions, and avoiding back-to-back appointments. In doing so, I can be fully engaged, attentive, and grounded for each person I work with.
